Flushing water tank
Submitted: Thursday, May 02, 2002 at 00:00
Nigel
Hi all,
I need to flush the plastic 120 litre
water tank
in my camper trailer and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how much Bi-Carb soda I should use? All the hoses are food grade, but I've been told they can do with flushing too.
Thanks in advance.

Roger Lowry
replied: Hi Nigel,
The best way to flush your tank and make it safe, getting rid of any little gremlins that are trying to breed is to go to a caravan store and pirchase their flushing agent. Then add Puratabs to your
water tank
to prevent any mishaps. If you do not have a drain plug in your tank try fitting a common t piece and an in line tap from garden irrigation equip. These are easily obtained at hardware stores. You can then flush your tank at will.
