Hi All, just wandering if anyone has been to
Salvator Rosa
recently, from the
Tambo
side. We are heading that way end of June and would like to know how the corrigations are? We want to come down from the north Alpha to
Tambo
any info on that one as well thanks.
Heading out of
Tambo
about the 28/29 June incase anyone else is heading that way.
Cheers Bruce

I went in there last September with a group towing a mixture of on-road and off-road caravans with 4WDs and had no problems with corrigations. There were some but nothing severe. Problem is if you listen to the locals no one would ever go in there. They had predicted all sorts of doom and gloom. We followed the directions given in the book 'Dirty Weekends in Central
Queensland
'. We took about 3 or so hours because we stopped at all the things mentioned in the book as well as having afternoon tea. I found it an interesting trip. If it was wet you would be well advised to not go there.
Regards,
Bill

Tambo
about 10k. No problems towing offroad camper trailer - few corrugations. Would be very interesting if wet. Some bulldust other side of ranges. Watch out for timber trucks
Tambo
side of range. Range climb very easy, descent steep and windy in parts.
