Supa Glue

Submitted: Wednesday, Jun 02, 2004 at 19:39

Stuart

Hi gang, after the discusion about Supa Glue I thought I would just add that you should store it in the fridge. I use Loctite brand and putting it in the fridge doubles the shelf life. It will eventualy turn into a useless and expensive gel. Cheers

Ahhh SUPER GLU!!!
Yep i remember it well.
Back in the 70's while trying to stick a rear vision mirror back on a falcon, my left hand was holding the mirror in place, the right hand couldnt unscrew the cap, so you guessed it, I used my mouth. Well caused some damage i can tell you. Shot out between my upper pallet and top of my tongue didnt it. Both ended up as 1. Felt likebleepand there was no way i could seperate them. The heat was increadable!
Ended up in local hospital, doctors were there with a nife slicking away between the pallet and tongue, can tell you it was not fun. After a couple of hours, finally freed my tongue. BUT took weeks before the sandpaper sensation wore off.

YEP..super glu...great stuff that.
I love it when you talk DIRTY !

Another point to note on storing it in the frig is that you 'should' allow it to come to room temp before opening and using it.
