Hi All ,
Could someone let me know the dates for the comps for 2005 please . I want to hit the Daly end of April / early May , but I want to avoid the congestion on the river during these two weeks .
Thanks ,
Willie .

Sand Man ,
The Classic is usually about two weeks after the Nationals , so maybe I should get there on April 23 .
Thanks for your help ,
Willie .

Dave ,
Why is it better ? Is it a better camp pot , more beautiful , better
fishing
or what ??
I have fished the Daly a lot , so you tend to return to the spots you know , but I would like to try somewhere new on my way home .
Thanks ,
Willie .

is any better than the daly and also wouldnt say it is any more beautiful.........but myself like you , used to fish the Daly every year, i was on the way up there in 2001 and decided to callinto the Roper on the way ...well that one time convinced me , havent been back to the Daly since ....in my opinion MUCH better
fishing
. I sent a story and some pics to a site called fishsa.com once not sure if its stillon there ...have a look if you like .......cheers .....DAVE

I have organised to fish on the Daly 27/4 to 11/6 , but I have two weeks to get back to
Sydney
and would like to try the Roper out as you suggested .
Could you possibly give me some directions on where to go to camp and where to fish ie upstream , downstream 1o klm etc .
That would be great ,
Thanks ,
Willie .
