What fuel consumption are people getting from GU Patrol 4.2 Turbo diesel? We get about 14 litres/100klms round the town and 16.5 towing a

Kamper weighing abot 1000 kgs fully loaded on a run. We know of someone getting 13 around the town and 14.3 towing an A Liner on a run. Met somone the other day towing a big caravan getting 14 while towing the caravan. I was expecting to get better than we are getting. What do you think.

I have a 99 GU 4.2 turbo which I had since new and has now over 70000Km on the clock.
It all depends on your driving habits, on average I get 12.2L/100km to 14L/100km, however in the bush I get better.
My worst economy is on the highway only if I go over the 100km/h barrier.
On the trip to cape
York
last year with a roof rack I got 15L/100km on the bitumen (110 to 120km/h)
While at the cape in the bush I got 10L/100 fully loaded but slow driving.
Towing a 1000kg trailer I got 13.8L/100km.
