We will be travelling along the gunbarrel, leaving Kalgoorlie on the 29th July, 2001 and heading to Wiluna, then accross to Ayres rock, over the next few days. Anyone heading that way around this time?

replied: Hi Mark, the trip is an adventure for sure.. make sure you spend the night at carnigie station ( a great spot) The road is not bad corrigations are real bad in some spots and allow at least 3 - 5 days to do the trip ( hard to believe I know) we averaged 250kms a day and that was constant driving from dawn to dusk. If you get the chance and have another car with you ( min 2 max 3 cars) do the abandoned section.. great views. if you want any infor please dont hesitiate to contact me directly. Have fun!!!
