hi explore oz team
quick question do you have to buy a full blown desert parks pass or si it possibble to obtain a short term one as we will be passing thru innaminka in august but will only be spending about a week between innaminka and birdsville before going on north and a 12 month pass is a bit expensive for one week
thanks in advance steve

Hi, Steven . As far as I know you can camp at the common at Innaminka but if you want to go to Coongie etc you have to buy a full pass. We only pay to stop there on the way thru usually. If you ring the Nat Parks in Pt Augusta they will fill you in on the latest. 08 86484244. Cheers "D"

If you are only passing through any of the individual parks or staying for a short period it will cost you $6.50 per night. The interim passes are available on application to : Dept. For Enviroment & Heritage, P.O. Box 78, Port Augusta 5700. Cheers.
