try taping two together. I thought the same thing when i only had one. These lights are great, and i ran one of a motorcycle battery every night (average 2-3 hours per night) for 9 weeks on a hellish circumnavigation of this great land of ours.

Would love to know the answer all the same.

A lot of the lumens output is because of that reflective material. If you remove it you will severely reduce the light output of the unit.

Here's a thought

If it is only a paper reflector and it can be removed without damaging in it. Why not try it nad see what the results are. Then you can post an answer back here for eveyone else that hasn't thought of doing it or did and was to scared.

rather than removing the reflector and possibly being unable to put it back in or tearing it and thus stuffing up the versalite why not simply take off the cover(which you would have to do anyway to take out the reflector) and switch the light on and see how the light is. that way if the light isnt adequate you simply put the cover back on. if it is okay you then have the cover off to rip out the reflector.
i have operated the light without the cover on and from memory you are better off leaving the reflector on.

I don't think it's just a reflector. I think it does do something to the fluro tube not sure what to enhance the light. Contact versalite they are very helpfull.
