Canning Stock Route trip

I am interested in travelling the CSR in August 2002 but rather than just drive it, I would prefer to have some purpose to the trip.
Does anyone know of anyone, group, or 4WD club planning any kind of maintenance or restoration at that time? I would be happy to participate in such a project and to see the CSR at the same time.

Track Care WA are pretty active in this area and on CSR. Check out http://www.exploroz.com/InfoPages/TripPrep9.asp which has their details. I know Ronnie & Eric Gard (writers of CSR Guide) are always doing some kind of maintenance on the CSR. Try emailing them at wesdesgi@mail2me.com.au
