HF radio operation?

Have just installed a new Barrett 950 and was hoping that I could get some help with it's operation from someone living in the south east of Melb' that has the same unit.
Would love to hear from you B4 I head bush next week.

I have been looking at these units and getting all sorts of stuff to help me understand the difference between these and the 550s.
I have a flash file I downloaded from somewhere (sorry cant remember where now) that explains all the buttons on the front panel. It's a tad over 3Mb in size, but if you have a reasonable connection I can email it to you if you like.

I could not get the thing to work yesterday but discovered the had left a part out of the packing at the factory. Had to drive back to Melb today to pick it up and now the radio seems to work fine.
I bought the 950 for the small amount extra because it had so much more int he way of features.
Total cost was $3000.oo and I installed it in about 5 hrs. piece of cake.
Anyway would love to see what you have on the 950 so my e-mail add' is....
