Hi I am looking for a bar that would be suitable for 2005 4.2 Diesel GU Patrol and be able to mount a Warn 8274-50 winch.

Roger,

After my experience with TJM I would not use them again for any frontal protection, reason being is that their finish (powdercoating) is crap.
I had mine colour coded and TJM had to redo the colourcoding about 4 times to remove all the runs and thin spots on the bars.

After seeing ARB's finish from the few that I have fitted, I would have no hesitation in purchasing their bars.

Also ARB have additional mounting points for lights and aerials, TJM make you use clamps for any additional mounting points.

Cheers Kev

A National Gathering is not measured by the number of miles travelled to get there but by the number of new friendships made and old ones rekindled.

Hi Roger , mate I'm with Kev on the paint finish as mine was done in a grey hammer tone as I ordered it that way except I didn't ask for the free hand prints that they sent along with it so when I got to the shop to pick up the 4B I had to be mean and ask them to take it back off and get it repainted they didn't like it but they did it and as for a winch bar the shop that I bought it off said it was a good winch bar but forgot to tell me I need a steel cradle as well before fitting a winch so add over $250 for that before even installing the winch (NOT HAPPY JAN) well that was about 4 years ago maybe things have changed LOL :)

Regards J.B.

I don't know if you'll find one to be airbag compatible. ARB are the one's to ask.

Whereabouts in WA are you? I would suggest also that you look at Opposite Lock as they have a good range of bars etc or if you want one custom made you could try Midland Towbars in Midland as they also have a good rep.
