The locks mounted in the lid of the aluminium box lets water into the box, all the
camping
bits etc.. floats in the water and starts to rust.
Are there any turnlocks that be waterproof?
Any other suggestions?

Thanks Willie, that's more or less what I do now, its amazing how the water gets pushed under this when it is on chequered surface and the tape gets loose.

I have seen *somewhere* rubber caps that go over lock barrels for outdoor key-switches - maybe try a security system supplies place?

replied: I'm not quite sure about the type of lock you have, but I stretch a section of bicycle inner tube over my standard padlocks to protect the keyhole from dust and water - cheep and effective.
