recomend you contact your local *privately owned/run* small post office-shop, talk with them tell them what you actually want and I'm sure you will be happy...
Works a treat or me :-)))
mine gets delivered to me when I stop for a while and advise them of the new address.
Won't be the official practice but a friendly service lol

We plan to travel in WA and Northern Territories and would like the post forwarded to different locations along the way.
I don't think
Australia
Post will do this for us and have heard of some forwarding companies.
I can find these in NSW, but none, so far in WA. It seems daft to send our post from West to East, and then back West again. It could take weeks!
We're really grateful for any help you guys can offer. Thank you.

Have you contacted your local *privately owned/run* small post office-shop, my snail mail is 'redelivered' for gratis when I stop for a while and advise them of the new address.
Been doing it for eleven years now and could not be happier, never lost any mail yet.
