GU tail light removal

Hi all, I need to remove one of my GU tail light to replace the reverse globe, can someone give me a small hint of how this is achieved. I cant see any obvious way to do so. thanks Michael

replied: Most Gu's only have one reversing light in the LHS. Inside at the rear remove the long thin cover panel. There are a couple of screws/bolts to remove, then easy the whole lamp assembly sideways out of its housing using finger pressure. It may be necesaary to give it a bump with the butt of your hand. good luck.Carpe Diem

replied: Michael, just be very careful when you bunp it out. You only have the 2 10mm bolts to remove, but the other side is held in by 2 nipple like plugs which are attached to the plastic of the light assembly, they will break easily if your not careful.
