Article Overview - National Fuel Prices
Nationwide fuel prices are shown in tables by state name.

You'll all be happy to know, that after a 6 month investigation, the ACCC has come to the conclusion there is no problems with petrol pricing. No collusion, no unfair marketing, no price fixing.
So there ya go. It must just be in our imagination and that when servos have fuel for (say) $1.25 in the morning and $1.35 in the arvo. it's just a coincidence.
It's just a "comfortable polygopoly"

replied: A conclusion really! Should they have found something other than that then the government and legal machinery would have swung into action to make them pay for their uncompetitive behaviour - a situation where there are simply no winners excepts lawyers. Don't know about you but I reckon that overpaying at the pump is still better than paying it to lawyers!
Kind regards

replied: Hold on! There still hope for light in the end of the tunnel. They did not mentioned word “diesel” even once. So probably diesel community still have a hope? For example incoming train. LOL.
Seriously what you can expect from another bunch of parasites?!?

Nup. No light ..just tunnel.
Diesel and LPG are not included in the ACCC's brief. Only petrol.

heard on the radio today: when asked "then why have diesel and LPG risen so much"? the ACCC man replied because ULP is the leader.
I really try not to think about it too much - not good for the blood pressure - the pollies are worse than the petrol companies.

Oh, well. As they said – you WILL be screwed this way or that way, it is inevitable, so try to relax and enjoy. We have to make jokes about all this, otherwise as you said blood pressure begin pump to the sky.
Cheers.

replied: One of the ACCC's recommendations was to adopt the Fuelwatch system used in WA.
By law the servos have to advise the Ministry of Consumer Affairs by 4pm what their advertised price will be the following day. They must then keep that price for the whole day, they can't raise or lower it. All the prices are then collated and put on the Fuelwatch website for all to see. One can check tomorrow's price from about 5pm the previous day.
At least in the metro area, it tends to keep the bastards honest.

Seems it the other way around for us fuel users & I dont think the situation is likely to change.
