Evening all,

Question for the HF buffs out there - I have access to a Codan HF (either a 9323 or NGT with 9350 autotune antenna) that I want to mount on my 05 Nissan Patrol. Question is - how do i mount the antenna at the rear of the vehicle? - it has a dual wheel Kaymar carrier fitted. Getting the transceiver fitted is no big deal as I have access to a great business in Tamworth to do that - it's just getting a bracket that will support the weight of the autotune AE that is causing me some concern. Pictures would be really good- PM if you have pic's of your setup that matches my vehicle

I have one on my Troopy if you look at my profile pics and they are very good.
Cost around $160- to $180- pending on who you get it from.
It allows you to tuck the Auto tune up between the tyres and the rear doors nice and protected.

You can buy a bracket that bolts onto the larger back door of the Patrol, using the bolts that hold the spare tyre bracket.

It places the antenna out to the driver's side, just above the top hinge.

I just tried to find out where to get one, but Google didn't help me in the few minutes I tried.....

From memory, I purchased it from Elizabeth, SA (or somewhere around there).

You could also make one of these up for yourself. I sold mine when I bought the dual cab.

I made mine out of a piece of box section and slid it down where the work light goes. Then welded a 6mm top plate and bracing flanges on Cost nothing, works beautifully,
Cant be removed except with a gas axe and have the antitheft nut on the aerial so pretty safe. Will post a pic on Thursday
