Hi guys. After some recent lighting failures with rechargable flouros, we have gone back to our trusty Coleman Duel fuel light. Whilst browsing the Coleman website this week I saw a freestanding collapsable lantern stand. This looked like a great idea - both to hold the light up where you need it , and to keep it away from accident prone child(her middle name is "oops"). Has anyone got one of these stands? I'm just wondering how easy they are to set up/pack up and most importantly- how stable are they? Ta . doc.

replied: Hi doc
Mate has one and it folds down alright and it can be peg down to make it more stable, but I have a free standing pole from
4x4 Equip
who are also advertise on this site. I love it and use it for light, shower and even to run a cloths line of, you just hammer the spike into the ground and screw in the pole and the hight is fully adjustable.
Have fun

replied: I own one and can recommend them. The three legs have a hole to put in the supplied pegs to keep it sturdy. However, I use this with my Versalite to throw a much wider yet more directed range of light. The stand packs up into a very compact round bag about a metre long. Wouldn't be without it for
camping
