Gidday there Mike,
I have had a Nissan Terrano grey import for 18 months and it has averaged around town (MT) and on highway (loaded and towing) around 10ks to the litre. I still don't know how big the tank is but the most I have ever put in was 71 litres. I think from memory I had 730ks on the trip counter at the time. Sand driving is the car's biggest bugbear, expect 6 klm to each litre in sand and you won't be dissapointed.
