Back again guys, Kids hey, cant make up their mind. Son's looking at Landcruiser's and Patrols. Mostly the Pat. 2.8 Turbo diesel and the 4.2 std cruiser.
Well give it to me guys I want all those horror stories for these two vehicles. What are their common faults and strengths.

replied: hiya howsey, you've asked the age old question. i personally own a 3.0tdi patrol.
from what i heard, read and saw. the 2.8 patrol is not in the same league as the cruiser, lack of power etc.
if however you get hold of a 3.0tdi then its a different story.
at the end of the day its horses for courses, to each his own and all the rest of that mumbo jumbo.
get what is right for your son and you cant go wrong.

replied: you couldnt get 2 more different cars..
2.8s are not known for pulling skin off custard...
Drive them both and see waht you think.
If it was 4.2 in either, then it would be the Patrol.
