We are heading off to Albany WA next June/July, can anyone tell us what the weather is like there at that time of the year?

Trev, Although Perth receives more rain than Albany, the rain in Albany is not as heavy but drizzles for quite a considerable time. You can expect the weather to be cold and wet (real cold) but the coastline during storms is very impressive. Just be mindful not to get to close as "king waves" can and have taken people off the rocky coastline. Albany is a very scenic place. Regards Mark

Mark, I am from central Victoria, and the weather here gets to minus 2 in the mornings in June. Is it the same over there?

Trev, It isn't that cold due to Albany being on the coast but sometimes you would swear that the wind up the main street is straight from the South Pole. To be honest, Albany would be a better place to visit later in the year say September, if you could re arrange you timing.
We lived in the town for two years and loved it.

How the Albany locals forecast the weather!

1: Look out over the bay--if you can't see the islands it is raining.
2: Look out over the bay--if you can see the islands, it is going to rain.

I am totally and utterly amazed that you would not have any idea of what the weather would be like in WA in June/July.

I have noticed quite a few similar questions like this on the forum and I wonder, with no disrespect, if those asking these simplex questions ever attended school?

Cheers,
Willie

Up yours Willie, there is a lot of disrespect in your response.

By the way I think you mean 'simple', not 'simplex' that is radio terminology. Maybe you should ask yourself the same question. "Did you ever attend school?"

I am new to this forum and fortunately yours is the only negative response. If you see anything from me again I would really appreciate it if you would not respond.

And don't bother "cheers"ing me!!!!!

Hi Big Trev

Born & bred near Albany and lived there for several years. Wife lived there until after we married.
Winter is cold wet and generally fairly miserable at that time of year. fairly similar to Melbourne. Rain is generally light and drizzly and may stay that way for several days at a time. Weather comes straight from the south pole.
BUT!!!! If you can put up with that it is a very pretty place and the scenery is awsome. Not a big town by eastern stds but one of WA's major regional centres.
Plenty to do and see, check the touist beaureau?????(never could spell that)

Cheers
