Anthony and Rochelle
Has anyone got information on Lawn Hill NP. Availability of campsites near rangers station and do these need to be booked in advance. We are planning to visit around early August on our way through before trying the road or track up towards the Roper river.

Camping
is also
available at Adels Grove (07 4748 5572) which is a private facility outside the Park. Collecting firewood within the the
Park is strictly prohibited.

replied: We visited Lawn Hill in September 1998. Had to book 3 months in advance and pay by credit card - $3.50 per person then. Proved a good idea as many were turned back to Adels grove. Nowhere near as good as Lawn Hill. Rangers limited the number of campsites in order to sustain the enviroment as it was very hot. Its a great place so dont miss it.
