I've been reading many entries from members and visitors on the CRD Jeeps (Cherokee & Commander) as I'm interseted in changing from my DiD Pajero (upgraded suspension/dampers & fuel chip etc) to tow my present 2500kg van, maybe a heavier van later on.

The Paj has been great for extended 12,000k's offroad, gravel & corrugations via the central road, Bungles, GRR & Mitchehell Plateau with a Pioneer trailer and while it is just legal with the van I would like something with more power & towing capacity, but not so big as a Cruiser. The compromises of interior space & small tank, cramped footwell etc maybe small prices tp pay for the great engine & 3500 kg Towing rating.

"Jeepthing" has some great feedback, I'd be interested in making contact with him as I'm local in the Perth northern suburbs, but welcome any other contacts as well.

If it is kosher to go via emails later, then phone that would be great as a starter.
