Looking for any info re the ridge - we are heading there for the first time this year (in about 3 weeks time - there is a festival and several poeple from our gem club will be there - so should be fun - but having never been there we are wondering what any other forumites or bloggers have been there recently, and can tell us what to expect.
I have initially booked into the caravan park (behind pub I believe) but may be able to camp with some others at someones place - not sure till we get there - is the town anything like coober pedy? or Quilpie? what is available there? I believe there is a hot spring baths - so presumably it is all bore water - anyway we leave on Sat 18 or 19 july =- should take two days or so to get there - depending on weather we may spend a night at Kaputer on the way as usual we will just take it as it comes, and see what happens along the way - at this stage we intend on heading over to White Cliffs after the festival to check it out - apart from that no set plans.

Wish fuel (especially diesel) was a bit cheaper though - that will be the killer.\
