 Description of Beaudesert
Beaudesert is 64km south of Brisbane and 72km inland from the Gold Coast.
A town of about 5000 people, it houses the Beaudesert Shire Council's administration centre, a shopping precinct, public hospital, residential areas, schools, churches, sports facilities and commercial centres.
The Beaudesert Historical Museum and Information Centre is open daily in Jubilee Park, near Council's Library and the swimming pool.

The museum displays vehicles, machinery and tools dating back more than 100 years. It also houses Pioneer Cottage, an authentic slab hut built in 1875.
The Beaudesert Arts and Information Centre, north of town, is open daily and sells local arts, pottery and crafts. This is a great place to browse, and enjoy Devonshire tea.
